NIGERIA AND THE POWER SYSTEM!!!

WELL THIS IS NIGERIA!!! THE PLACE WHERE NOBODY TAKE HOLD OF YOU NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO!!!. EHHH...UHH...USH. What are we turning power to in this nation? Ghana were currently celebrating three years of non power failure. South Africa and Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco were not left out in the race, just as the UK is celebrating nothing less than 50 years of theirs. the USA just celebrates their 151st year just as the german celebrates about 53 years of non power failure. Uu..nn NIGERIA has not yet celebrate its 3 days of full non power failure since independents. what an interesting nation to be!!! ehh..ehh, uh...yeh, Un...h the last administration claims that in the last eight years she had spent nothing less than 16.3 billion dollars on electricity, yet, there is no more improvement. in fact things were getting a bit complex daily.

IN 2007 the Nigerian Electrical power authority (NEPA) was privatised for effective delivery of power and was changed to Power Holding Company of Nigeria(PHCN). indeed! they were power holding, because they were just holding power the way it pleases them and they are indirectly telling the masses that they are now 'Please Hold Candle of Nigeria'(PHCN).

one furning thing is that Nigeria happen to be the supplier of electricity to country like Togo and Niger, yet, we do not satisfy the needs of our own people. one of my fathers in the lord narrated his ordeal when he came back to Nigeria from Togo, he said throughout the three days he spent in that country, there was nothing like power failure. Unnn... what a nation. a nation that is using his people's dividends to satisfy the outsider. why should we keeps on feeding other people when our own people is hungry.

however, one funniest thing is that even their own children do not know their accounts and banks abroad such that when they died it is those country that later chop their money in the name of dissolution of account. once they got into power, what they only know how to do is to keep looping money to where it would later be dissolved.

how they spend the 16.3 billion dollars, only God knows. well, i still believe something that Nigeria is a Nation of so many mysteries, yet, or well, let's say God still reigns in the affairs of all men.

well, this seems a good time for business for those Nigerian that were involved in generator set selling. since all these started nothing less than 65 Nigerians have been reported dead by these generators due to the emission of carbon(ii)oxide. what shall we do to all these things?

industries were not effective in their operation as before, in fact more industries were leaving the country. well, i think there is always a way out. if we could shift our attention a bit to radioactivity, i think the uranium that was founded in 2006 in six states of the federation could fetch Nigeria nothing less than 10 Giga Watts of electricity generation. we should also turn to the solar means instead of depending only on the hydro alone.

WELL each states should be given responsibilities to find a means of generating electricity by itself to meet the demands of his own people.

there were solutions to all these problems, but own rich men are not ready to spend to affect their community. Nigerian as a government should hereby listen to this opinion of mine.

the federal government should device a means of competition academically in all different field of our educational system.

let there be electrical education competition both theoretically and practically. not just on electrical, let us have those like:
NATIONAL COMPETITION FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING STUDENT
NATIONAL COMPETITION FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING STUDENT
NATIONAL COMPETITION FOR PHARMACY STUDENT
NATIONAL COMPETITION FOR MEDICINE STUDENT
NATIONAL COMPETTION FOR CHEMISTRY STUDENT
NATIONAL COMPETITTION FOR MATHEMATICS AND PHYSICS STUDENTS
NATIONAL COMPETITION FOR COMPUTER SCIENTIST and all of such.

how will this work? or you may ask? what rubbish is this? what do these have to do with power generation? yes, it is has something doing.

50 years ago, japan was facing similar problems as Nigeria. just like Brazil. do you know what they do, they carry out the above means and those who emerge the best were sent abroad to learn more in their various fields. when they came back to their nation, each project they embarked upon was sponsored by their federal government. today, Japan is among the G-8 countries. Brazil remains the only country to date to use gasohol as a means of fuel for their cars. this they were able to achieve because their government back them all up.

so if Nigeria want to realise vision 2020, let's carry out the above procedures as the first step to developing this nation to the world standard. let's sponsore the best students abroad to go and learn more about their various fields. let's say per each field, 20 people were given scholarship abroad to learn something new, i mean 20 people per each field to 20 different countries in the world, i'm hundred percent sure, that when those 20 people come back and put their knowledge together, presenting their projects to the government, if the government oblige and sponsor their project, in the next 10 years, NIGERIA WILL BE EXTRA ORDINARILY GREAT.

this is the first opinion. the second opinion is that their should be project exhibition competition. while i went for JETS in 2005, in the governor's cup, a guy from one school came to present a project through which the guy generated diesel from ordinary cashew nut. and you know once we get diesel, we could easily generate petrol from diesel through chemical means. where is the project of that guy today, we are too busy to notice such, nobody even come up to sponsor such a guy to where he would be exposed to maximising his potential and i'm sure if that guy's project was sponsored then, Nigerian won't need to be depending only on the trouble filled NIGER DELTA for fuel again. all we would have just be doing now is to encourage planting of more cashew trees in the nation.

Now, does this make sense to you? well, there were lots and lots of talents in this nation, too busy to be noticed, and too neglected to be sponsored.

USA today does not descend from heaven, but it was built through the contribution of people like you and me. this was because, their government, even though too busy, yet, they set up a panel looking towards all these. where is our own panel in Nigeria to monitor those little little things? well, i think there is always panels for probing, probing to chop more money, but there is no panel to discover talents.

i hope, one day, God will touch the heart of this selfish leaders who only cares about their stomach. it leaves one to wonder sometimes whether it is their wives that is pregnant or them.

BRAIN ARE WASTING TOO MUCH IN THIS NATION. AND I WILL ADVICE THE WHITE MEN TO STOP INVESTING IN NIGERIA, BUT THEY SHOULD RATHER START INVESTING IN NIGERIAN

MADMEN AND WOMEN ON NIGERIAN STREETS!!!

Walking down the streets of any town in Nigeria, one would discover that there are more madmen in Nigeria than expected. On the street of Abuja itself with some important area of Lagos is filled up with madmen and madwomen roaming about nakedly in this Great nation.
As i was working via oke-ilewo/kuto road, i came across a madwoman with a child, and i was almost crying. what is the sin of this young child being punished alongside due to the condition of the mother. i then took a step forward, first to the motherless baby home where i was redirected to the ministry of women affair at oke-ilewo itself. of course i went and i was a little bit dissappointed that after three weeks nothing was done. i went back to them and was told that they were working on it and that they would soon respond to the situation. About two month after i still met them there although they were no more in that spot at the present. their absence in that place, does it mean that the government have taken over? well i don't know. all i know is that she is no more there.
so what am i driving at with all of these? the rates at which mad people are increasing in this nation, one would be confused whether there is a Government in this nation. In the advanced world, none of these are noticed because they took care of their mad people.Shall we say that there is no more mad people in USA? well, they have plenty. But is it that they were not found roaming about on the streets? it was because, the US government respect their mad people and treat them as a citizen giving them the full attention. they of course, build a lot of psychiatric hospital and they finance all the budget of these people such that you cannot know the difference between mad people in the US from the normal citizen.
the question is: what is NIgeria doing to savage this situation? our mad people were eating refuse like goat, they sleep on the streets, they wear rags, in fact they are as well exposed to various dangers. like dangers of ritual killers, dangers of accident, dangers of diseases. why should this keeps on happening? when is this going to end.
On the streets of Abeokuta Alone, there is nothing less than five mad men and women roaming about per street. what a shame!!!
of course, nobody chose to be in that position by themselves. why should they keep on suffering for all these?
I am using this opportunity to call on the people and the government of this great nation, to set up a TASK force comprising only Medical and Pharmaceutical personel with the assistance of the Nigerian Police force, to start picking any mad people found on the city of Nigeria. but before this is done, the government should include the wellfare of the mad people in NIgeria into their budget and let the budget be tagged, THE MAD PEOPLE ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA. through this budget, more psychiatric hospitals should be built. this also will provide employment for our medical personels and in fact more Neurosurgeons would be produced in Nigeria when this is put into consideration. their well being in terms of food and shelter should also be looked into. If in 2003, Babangida could budget 6 billion dollars for his presidential campaign, how much will it cost the government to take care of their citizens. Imagine one man using six billion dollars(Not NAIRA OH) for campaign alone, definitely he would have times 10 of it in his account. and look at the masses, they keep on suffering. the rich are getting more richer while the poor poorer.
remember, this mad people on the street of Nigeria ARE NIGERIAN, and they deserve their entitlement from the government just like every citizen in Nigeria. the word of God said: 'to those who know the right and doeth it not, to them it is a sin'.
i am appealing to this government to take this matter seriously. who knows, may be through all these thing much of these mad people could be made whole. From the day i was born, i have never seen a Nigeria who does not know how to do one thing. if a Nigerian cannot read, it does not mean that he/she can't do other things like sports, musics and all of such. this will also be an opportunity for the government to bring out the best in this people.
REMEMBER!!! ALL THESE MAD PEOPLE IN NIGERIA ARE NOT GHANAIAN, NEITHER CAMEROUNIAN, NOR MAURITANIAN, THEY ARE AND WILL EVER BE NIGERIAN.

THE NIGERIAN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM.

Looking at the way the Nigerian educational system has been suffering have made me to decide to put something down on the way forward on this. why should nigeria educational system keeps on suffering so much injustice? was it that Nigeria is not good enough to claim its place in the global educational systems?

well we need to look at the factors responsible

1)THE PROBLEM WITH JAMB
Judging by the way things are going, i will say that 'JAMB HAS FAILED NIGERIAN'. How?
this body is so corrupt today that they could no longer be relied upon. why should a paper be marked and remarked after the result has been released to the publics? that shows their incapability. they remark only one paper, which happened to be physics and through this one paper, those who were previously given 193 eventually was given 238 after remark, definitely if they could remark all the papers, many will score above 280 which were presently given 198 or less. i thought they said it was computer that mark all the papers and if that computer could fumble in physics, definitely there is probability that it could fumble in all the other papers.what is speeding JAMB so much that they were rushing to mark the nigerian scripts. if they use three months to mark all these papers without any mistakes, it is better than to use three days with so much mistakes. apart from all these, it is publicly known today that some people are bribing JAMB to buy results of some candidates. why should we keep on trusting in this Failed body?

imagine students, reading tirelessly to pass an examination, and all they wake up to discover is that their results is being sold to unqualified candidates. what a pity. i came to look limpidly into this issue and what i got was realling terrifying. i came to discover that some special centres were bribing some top JAMB officials to give them subtletly the question papers. and so thing keeps on getting corrupted everyday. student, i mean Genius students have fallen victims of all these and it all seems as if they don't know anything at all.

i think in my opinion, JAMB SHOULD BE CANCELLED AND EACH SCHOOL SHOULD BE EMPOWER TO CONDUCT THEIR OWN ADMISSION BASED ON O-LEVEL RESULTS AND NOT ON JAMB AGAIN.

2)SPECIAL CENTRES:
WHAT are we turning this nation into? what is the government doing on this issue of special centres? if you want to do WAEC, there are special centres for it. not just only it, each examination has special centres and government is not setting up any task force to combat all these. i think this area needs to be looked upon.

3)YOU KNOW WHO?
THIS is the most shameful aspect of nigerian educational system. even when students meets the requirments of their choice school, scaling through the hurdles of WAEC, JAMB and MORAL requirments, schools, virtually all schools in Nigeria is still asking students who they know before they are given admission. you don't know anybody, then forget the admission.
Last Year, i and some of my friends went to attend Post PCE at the polytechnic of Ilaro and we are surprised at the outcome of every thing. we are four in numbers, and none of us scores less than 193 in PCE, and 136 in post PCE. but we were surprised to see that the candidates that top my own department scores 52, 55 also in both the civil engineering department and HND accounting where there was a 171. could you imagine the act of injustice against students?
also that same last year a friend of mine did UME and Had 249, he went to UNILAG for their post UME, he managed to score 59.5, but he took them for both first and second choice courses and institutions. the first choice being medicine and Surgery and the second Chemistry. the cut-off mark for medicine is 66.7 that for chemistry was 58.6 for ogun catchment area only to be surprised that the admission was not given. he pressed on to meet the school authority only for a security man to say, 'had it been you came with a letter head, you would have been considered' he asked what letter head really mean't and was told that 'had it been that you came with a letter from one of the top people in the society, you would be considered'.
i think the government also needs to look into all these.

4)INFRASTRUCTURE:
i also will implore the government to create as much chemistry/chemical, physics/engineering and all scientific laboratories all over the nation apart from the common library we have. if Nigeria want to discover new things and produce the next Nobel Lauret, it is through all these that these could be realised. we need a radioactivity laboratory, a medical laboratory virtually in all states of Nigeria. when all these is created, let their be free access to it by the masses, whether an undergraduate, graduate, secondary and those seeking yet for admission.
also, in UK we have the ROYAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCE, in USA also, we have a body looking into scientific discoveries, WHERE IS OUR OWN ROYAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCE?
I THINK WE NEED ONE.

Every thing requires wisdom. let the government look on these and i think within few years we will be there.
